Australian Touch
Captain
Drumayne Dayberg-Muir
Australian Mens Touch (captain)
Australian Sevens Rugby
Drumayne was born in Auckland NZ to rugby parents and with speed in the blood was always destined for something special. After winning the Youth World Cup for New Zealand in u/20's Touch, he moved to Australia's Gold Coast where he further developed his game and has gone on to represent Australia in Touch and Sevens Rugby.
Currently regarded as the #1 touch player in the World, Dayberg-Muir has won mulitple World Cups, State of Origin Series and National Titles. His sidestep has defences across all codes searching for answers and his ability to adapt his skills to Rugby Sevens, League Sevens and Touch is impressive.
Ironically, Drumayne returns to Auckland in January 2010 to play against New Zealand in the Touch Trans Tasman titles. His direction and leadership will be critical for Australia's chances against a Kiwi team desperate to take down the World Champions.
